Rose Therapy, my private practice, was created in 2023. As a counsellor, I never stop learning and attend continued professional development to enhance my knowledge. In January 2025, I embark on a Masters in Psychology Mental Health and Wellbeing, intending to integrate this learning into my practice.
I work as an Associate Counsellor at the Kernos Centre in Sudbury and as a Session Counsellor for Survivors in Transition, in addition to my private practice, Rose Therapy.
I am an registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP 408796) and an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Soceity. and hold Public Liability Insurance with Holistic Insurance.
My decision to pursue this profession was driven by my strong desire to positively impact people's lives and help them navigate challenging situations. I am confident in my abilities to be an effective counsellor, and I appreciate that this field values real-life experiences. While I may not be able to help every person who seeks my assistance, I know that by listening to my clients without judgment and providing them with a safe space to grow and explore their thoughts and behaviours, I can make a significant difference in their lives.
I want to share some insights into my personal life. I am married with two grown-up boys and a black Labrador. From my experiences, I have realised that while I may not be able to run a marathon, I can comfortably manage a 5km distance by combining walking and jogging. When it comes to snakes, I must confess that I have an overwhelming fear of them that would make me run like Forrest Gump. I prioritise being compassionate first and foremost, aiming to establish a safe and supportive relationship with my clients as a counsellor.
